Dating Disasters: What's your story

After talking to different friends of mine recently I am reminded of just how many weirdos are out there... how many odd things happen to people, and pretty much how funny those situations are... so I thought it would be fun to start a thread where you can throw out those odd, awkward, or shocking moments from pick up lines, first dates, relationships, love making gone wrong, weird break ups, quirks you never thought were possible for people to have... just things to have some light hearted fun around here.

I'll start... I've got quite a few odd things that have happened but I'll start with the one that started it all...

I was 18, it was the spring semester of my freshman year of college and a friend at the time had her boyfriend set me up with a guy he worked with on a blind date. When I walked in the door, I was introduced to a fellow nicknamed Pork, who was high and double fisting some shitty ass beer... he continued to drink and get served even more alcohol at dinner (he was also 18) and part of the deal he made with my friend's boyfriend was that he would go if he didn't have to pay for dinner... that was even more awkward... he also called me uptight because I was getting annoyed that he kept spilling beer on me... we ended up at the movie How to Lose a Guy in Ten days and the more awkward moment of my life was my friend telling her boyfriend that I was completely uninterested in his slob of a friend, just as all of the previews finished and the theatre was completely silent... everyone heard!

This was about 6 years ago, so I wasn't young and this was after 2 marriages.

My friend fixed me up on a blind date with a blind guy. He was a traffic court judge. We spoke on the phone and he sounded like he was alright and safe. We met at a bar. I didn't drink, so I had a cola. We went to dinner at this middle eastern restaraunt, and I had a vegetarian dish with one weak drink. He wanted me to drink more but I explained to him that I'm not a drinker.

Turns out he was trying to get me drunk because after dinner we called it a night. We took a taxi back to his apartment and I walked him to his door. I was not attracted to him so nothing was going to happen. He wanted to show me his apartment, so I reluctantly went in. I didn't go far in, I stood by the front door and peeked in. He offered me more liquor, I refused and said I had to go because of my children.

Then he tried it. He asked me to spend the night, I refused and said I wasn't like that. He said, "Well you haven't done it in a long time." So in his mind, since I was not active he thought I was hard up. I told him I was not interested in doing anything like that with him or anyone else. He tried to block the door.

Now I"m six feet tall and this guy came up to my boobs. He can't see, so what did he think was going to happen. I could have easily picked him up and threw him over the railing in his house, but I said, "nah, he's a judge, I may get in trouble." So I said in a calm voice. "If you don't move out of my way, I'm going to bash your face into the wall."

He moved.

What a jerk.
 
I was talking to a guy online a few years ago who would only ever talk to me about sexual things.... I'd come back from class and he'd leave me these novel long messages of what he wanted to do with me... and I was polite and kept telling him I wasn't interested... and then it came down to two things... he was apparently into heavy bondage/S&M type stuff and well, I'm not really into the whole pretend rape scenario, and then he told me he was going to buy a bus ticket to come see me... and I was like, uh no no no no... do not contact me ever again... he currently teaches English to kids in Hong Kong.

As for me my weirdest experience was about 3 years ago, I was about 18 and it was my second semester of college. I met a guy I had seen around my first semester of college on myspace. I added him and he seemed REALLY cool. He was a punk kid, who had awesome taste in music and anime. He said I was adorable and intriguing and all the things a girl wants to here. After chatting for a few days on AIM I gave him my phone number, so that we could be friends and he could help me meet new people with the same interests since I still hadn't made many friends yet. I had come from another town. Anyway, he called me while he was masturbating!!! He then proceeded to tell me dirty things he wanted to do with me. I pretended like it was a joke and tried to talk, but he kept going so I freaked out, and explained that I had to go to bed early. When I moved back to the town (we were on winter break) he asked to take me out. Stupid me felt that maybe that weird time on the phone was just a joke. I was after all from a small town and sheltered environment and maybe, just maybe that's college boys. So we went out and drove for like 45 minutes all around...listening to music...very quiet...a few words here and there. We then went to his house and watched a movie (during that movie we ended up sitting on his bed and he kept trying to get me to put my head on him..but i didn't know him that well and resisted, claiming i wanted to sit on the floor) and then he brought me home. It was O-K. The next time we hung out we drove all the way to another town just so he could show me his old house...then we stopped in front of a park...and listened to music..I thought we were going to swing or something...and then I got claustrophobic (in his little Geo Metro) and had to sit outside of his car for 20 minutes. We talked outside, got ate up by mosquitos and then he brought me home. In between these outings we chatted on AIM and the dirtiness was diminishing, or so I thought. The third and final outing did the trick for me, we once again drove around and then he pulled over behind some huge dirt mound behind the universities coliseum and turned up the music...by then I was pretty nervous because obviously something is wrong with this kid! (Why do we keep driving no wheres and barely talking, why doesn't his car have a seat belt! why won't he ask anything about me....eehhh....) He then leans over and starts shoving his tongue down my throat and moving his hands on my body...I was FLOORED! I pull away but he kept going and finally I had reached my limit. I didn't know this kid, and he was the worst kisser EVER!!!! I then asked him what kind of soap he used before he went in for another slimey kiss. He said he didn't know. I then freak out and say "uh well it smells like Irish springs...i'm allergic to that kind" I then start itching and my nerves actually brought on hives. He didn't really believe me, but took me home anyway. Right when I'm about to walk out the car he pulls me in to kiss me again and my teeth went into his lip....I hurried out the car and got in my house..a few days late her contacts me online being the same dirty guy and claiming he changed his soap. I didn't respond and even to this day I still get a couple messages from him a year ...big weirdo!
 
oh wow h34vyK1tt13 I would have been like that as well in your situation. I don't think I have a dating disaster, but I do remember a friend of mine (not really my friend) who I had spoken to for months with, had asked me on a date..me being the shy one couldn't say no (but I wanted to)
He then thought that we were dating, not. but as time passed I noticed he was a heavy smoker and I didn't like that one bit, since I can't go near smoke. Let's call him "D"
Well D made a promise, that If he quit smoking for a few weeks that I'd have to show him my chest area..if you know what I mean I kept talking to him, still too shy to tell him I wasn't interested in anything with him. I later on just hid from him, didn't answer him, and he got the point.
 
During my last year of high school I worked at the public library. There was a guy who would come in frequently who I thought was incredibly hot--tall dark and handsome. Anyway, I secretly lusted after him for at least a year, running into him at local hangouts occasionally. I didn't even know his name. I think that only added to the mystery. One night I was out with another guy I was kind of dating (not seriously) at the time. We ran into Mr. Mysterious at a bar. Turns out he knew they guy I was with. I was freaking out inside, b/c I finally got a chance to meet this guy, and I'm stuck with another. :cuss: Eventually other guy figured out I was more into Mr. Mysterious, so he left us alone. Ooohh, harsh of me, I know....haha. I ended up back at Mr. M's place (he lived with his mom, but we in our late teens/early 20s so it's not so bad, I was in college at that point at home for the summer). Of course it was kinda stupid of me to go, as he could've been a rapist, serial killer, axe murderer etc. But I was very naive at the time. He wanted to watch Annie Hall as it was his fav movie. I had never seen it. To this day I haven't really seen it b/c he pounced on me shortly after it started and began to slobber (his attempt at kissing) all over my face. It was disgusting. :puke: I put up with it for a bit b/c I had waited so long to be alone with him. But it was sooo disappointing, I told him I was tired and had to go home. So I got the hell out of there, and found something to wipe the slobber off my face with!! :eek: Mr. Mysterious turned into Slobber Boy! :rofl: What a disappointment! :(
