daily vitamins

Hey all, I'm pretty new around here. I bought a bottle of daily vitamins about a week ago, but haven't started taking them yet. Basically, I'm afraid that they will make my stomach uneasy. Should I be eating them with food? I've never taken vitamins before, and I just don't know the advantages or possible disadvantages with taking them, or the effects they will have on my body. Can someone give me some input in this? Also, I was going to start taking them the other day, but when i opened the bottle they smelled so horrible that I just had to put them aside and wait; and its what has me asking questions. Thanks for the help!

Why did you start taking the multivitamins if you did not not the advantages or possible disadvantages of taking them?

well you make it sound worse than it is. i dont eat a very healthy diet at all, maybe 1 meal a day. actually its 11:50 pm and all I ate today was a handful of cheezits. I just wanted to get a decent amount of vitamins in my system because of that.

obviously you need to eat... bottom line...

But, those who have stomach issues when taking multivitamins usually have problems because they take them on an empty stomach. I make sure to at least have a glass of milk with my vtamin in the morning. A lot of dietitions/nutritionists recommend taking your multivitamin with your largest meal of the day.

That or a low quality multivitamin may just contain extra crap that upsets your stomach.

take em with food....better absorption that way.

If you are worried about the multi vitamins upsetting your stomach then a better solution maybe to clean up your diet and eat healthy food as oppose to crap

^^Best solution - eat right. Taking a multivitamin with cheezits for your whole day is not going to do anything better, you need to get your diet in check.

Try taking a multivitamin with a whole food based formula. I recommend you check out . Look at the ingredients and you will see that there is nothing in it that should upset your stomach. Let me know what you think.

- UnTrustWorthy i would say...The website promises quite a lot however i can not seem to find the ingredient list or the % of the vitamins in it -
