Sport Daily Nutrition Tracking

Sport Fitness
Looking for suggestions on efficient ways to track daily nutrition. I'm currently using a spreadsheet that I built that calculates total calories, protein, fat, carbs... as well as macro totals and percentages. The output is great....but its a b!tch to maintain. Mainly cause of all the different ways food servings are measured. I'm all about hard work... but this is an area where I'd love to find a shortcut! I know one way would be to simply eat the exact same thing every day... but that doesn't work very well for me. I'm curious as to how some of you are tracking your nutrition. I dabbled with a couple of the free websites, but really haven't found one that is much easier than what I created. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

i hear ya! its painful to do... especially when your meals differ from day-to-day. i'm definitely seeing good results from doing so though... so i'm trying to push myself to keep on top of it. not the easiest thing for a 32 year old procrastinating, ADD-ailing man to do!! :) I will definitely take a look at FitDay! Thanks!!

fitday is nice because its free if you use it online.

but you do have to weigh or measure everything, and there will be some discrepancies, but not big ones.

I will say that its going to be to your advantage to eat some of the same things every day. it'll make tracking easier, especially if you don't eat out at all.

its not as boring as it sounds to eat the same stuff. just change up the seasonings and the veggie selections to keep it fresh.

and obviously the wider your selection the better. some people hate fish, cottage cheese, etc...but if you can just suck it up and eat it or find a healthy way to make it more appealing, all the better.

LOL! you're welcome! seems you are doing a great job of tracking so far, especially if you created your own spreadsheet! :D

You are better off looking up the nutritional facts on each food you consume, because overtime you will memorize those particular numbers and will no longer need to look them up again. It's always better to know the numbers because you will learn so much more about nutrition that way.
