Sport Cutting wheat bread from your diet

I didn't click the link, but if the argument is that wheat = bad, then white bread and pasta would be included, too.

Controversial topic for weight watchers. Best to eat wheat bread in moderation. Strict and conscious weight watcher chooses to eat foods in their nearest natural state. It also lessens added preservatives in the food. Oats, bran and wheat are listed as good foods.

That article seems to be in opposition to drastically cutting down on proteins and fat. Both options suck, in my opinion. You need a moderate balance between carbs, fat, and protein. Cutting one out won't be helping you out much in the long run.

People like to turn to low-carb diets because they're popularized to help lose weight. Well, there IS a drastic water-weight loss right after cutting out carbs. Other than that, going low-carb MAY help to switch to using your fat stores sooner during cardiovascular exercise, but you would only be able to do lower-intensity workouts if you're not getting enough carbs. Carbs are the primary source of energy, and even when you do switch to using your fat stores, you need an intermediate of glucose-metabolism to utilize the fat.

There is no way white bread is better! Whole wheat digests fatser from all the research I've done. But as the poster above me said, small carb portions are the key!
