Sport Cutting on a Budget

Sport Fitness
So I want to get in "real shape".. meaning build endurance and what not.. and so I plan to be on a lean nutrition plan. However I'm kind of on "a budget" here so any suggestions as to how to plan around this would be helpful. Which types of foods should I buy most of.... etc.

I also plan to start drinking tea.. yerba mate... I read on a thread that it was better than coffee.

Water is free, so I highly reccommend that. :D

Chicken breasts really aren't all that pricey, oats are cheap as dirt, eggs are cheap, certain veggies can be gotten for cheap. Natural peanut butter is a couple bucks a jar and gets many servings.

I want to know where you get your water. I have to pay for mine:)

Do you have a Costco near you? If so, you can buy stuff in bulk for pretty cheap.

Hahaha, OK, I mean it's like a penny a glass.

I know what you meant, I was just being a smartass:)

I don't drink tap water straight, but I have a filter built into my fridge.

....and +1 on Costco. I don't know what I'd do without it. I keep that place in business

Cincy does have good water. I used to be in the water utility business before I was a stay-at-home dad and I know every municipality has to prove to the EPA its water is safe. Taste, on the other hand, is another issue.

Hey, maybe I'll see you at the Tri County Costco loading up on food LOL. I'm in West Chester

Oh cool, I'm closer to the city, I lived in Clifton for awhile, now back in Oakley/Hyde Park, looking for a house with my brother and friends. I'm actually more of a Sam's Club person, although I haven't had a membership since I stopped working there last year.

Natural peanut butter... that sounds good.. is there a brand you would recommend?

Also, I forgot to mention.. I wont always have access to a kitchen for the summer. if it all. I was thinking of buying that pre-cooked chicken from Albertsons... but I dont know what I could do about the eggs =-(
