Cutting carbs to see six-pack?

Will cutting carbs enable me to see my sick-pack? I have done a lot of ab exercise in the past and still do, which means there should be some six pack there. So will cutting out carbs 'reveal' it? I cut down dramatically on carbs on Monday but I have been feeling weak and a bit sick the last few days. I am doing ab exercises also 3 days/week. Do I need to change my exercises or just cut carbs? I do exercises such as one dumbell on chest, and doing crunches. Also the one where you lift torso into air.
Any help is mush appreciated :)

I think the thing to remember about abs is how people get big arm muscles...they don't just workout the biceps to see results. For abs, you need to workout the obliques and chest to get results, especially the obliques. I also recommend a rest of 1 week per muscle so that it has time to grow, and that'll burn the fat because muscle requires more calories...it'll take it from the fat that you have on your body.

you should not have done it dramatically. it should be done gradually.

but i agree with cutting carbs. your protein intakes and fat intakes should remain the same. to cut calories, reduce carbs and up your energy output

everyone has a 6 pack, its just usually under a layer of fat...the only way to see that is to eat healthily and burn calories

Train your abs like you would any other muscle...with sufficient resistance and limited reps/sets and sufficient recovery. Vary your workouts every 4 weeks or so, but don't just do whatever ab exercise you feel like doing at any odd time. Create a structured workout, and progressively add more resistance. Once you have made the desired gains, switch up your routine.

And of course, clean up your diet ;)

do alot of cardio if you want abs.
i cant stress this enough!!!

alot of cardio with a good diet, and training abs HARD once a week and youll see. do this for 3 weeks then start a thread and let us know how far youve come along.

I want six pack too and going use your advice klutch, I can almost see mine but their just little lines. So 3 weeks I will reply back

I lift for about an hour and run for 10-20 minutes after, 6 days a week and I eat very clean, my 6 pack is slowly coming in. I've been doing this for almost 3 weeks now. I'm very happt with my results thus far

I'd give anything to have anything even resembling a 6 pack. My abs are strong, but there's 2 problems...some fat over them, and a big scar on my belly from surgery as an infant (was born with a diaphragmatic hernia, collapsed lung, and a few other things back in '82)
