Cutting carbs PWO

So, while cutting, should one still use carbs in their PWO, or go for only protein, or reduce the ammount of carbs? I can handle the cals PWO and still loose weight, thats no problem. But im just wondering if its optimal if you dont want to gain fat? Ive heard someone takes a banana PWO along with a protein shake when cutting, instead of using Dext or Malt.

Any input appritiated :)

Always, always, always, utilize carbs with protein PWO whether your cutting or bulking. You performed an activity that requires carbs and they will be used mainly to start the repair/rebuild process and will not be stored as fat simply because they are being utilized.

What Type and How Much?

For post workout, what type of carbs should be coupled with the protein shake? What form should they be in? If supplements what brand? And very importantly, what amount for someone cutting?

I use the dextrose/whey combo and I've been cutting for quite some time. The only thing I'll change when I start bulking is the amount I consume, and even then I'll only up it a little bit.

Sometimes I buy a predesigned PWO shake when I feel I have the cash. Most times I just make a Whey shake with only about 15 total grams of protein and add Creatine, Glutamine, and a Banana for the quick carbs. Having read up and found a helpful Link from LV in another thread I think I will start ordering Dex granules off the web. $3 for 2lbs., can't beat that for economy ;)

Also, I've recently learned in another thread on this site that it doesn't really seem to matter when I take the Creatine during the day. As a creature of habit though I tend to take 5g with my morning snack shake between breakfast and lunch and then another 2.5 with my PWO shake. And from info again gleaned from this site I'm questioning whether I need to supplement glutamine at all but I might as well run the can out.

So far as I know though bananas are a pretty quick carb and should fit the bill plus the potassium and all that good stuff.

Nice find, hadn't seen that amount before. Highest I found was a 10lb bag.
