Creatine question

Alright, I'm taking CEE before and after my morning workout (7-9 AM) and it's been doing good. Now, however, I'm starting to do a morning and evening workout (7-9 AM and 5-7 PM). Is it ok to take 4 servings instead of 2, one before and after each workout?

Do you value your kidneys?

WHY are you taking creatine twice to begin with.

Say it with me: You only need one 5 gram dose of creatine monohydrate a day. Period. End of discussion.

Any more than that and you're wasting money and forcing your kidneys to filter out all the excess creatine as creatinine.

Sorry I should have clarified that, I'm taking 2 doses of 2.5g, one before and one after. That's what the bottle's directions stated. Is it better to do 5 g at once or in two doses....or does it matter?

Thanks for the advice, Malkore. Can you elaborate a little on it?

I am wondering, if what you say is true, then the "loading" that the manufacturers recommend in beginning of starting creatine is actually pretty taxing on the kidneys?

Let me know.

Ruppy.

there hasn't been found any evidence of creatine supplementation being dangeoraus to the kidneys in healthy people.

There's actually some studies done on quantity. I don't have the time to find them, but they all landed on 3-5 g once a day.

There's so much fuzz about creatine. Another thing is that you shouldn't drink it with low acid drinks (like orange juice or such as). I can't see the problem - the pH in our stomach acid is way lower than that.

When it comes to supplements and nutrition - after all my years of studying and training - I always land on the KISS principle. Keep it simple stupid. :)

I have a question, sorry if it's been asked but I checked other creatine threads and haven't seen it asked yet. Is it okay to take the creatine mono pills or is it better to stick to the powder?

Likewise there have been no studies taking into account someone doubling the recommended dosage.

I think there has been done studies on pretty large doses. But I'm honestly too lazy to spend time looking it up. As long as you don't go completely overboard, I don't see a problem with creatine at all.

Lazy? See. You have been doubling up your doses haven't you. ;)

I inject my creatine directly into my aorta for the fastest possible distribution, and with insulin for the best possible uptake.
