creatine/protien totally confused... would like advise

Hello, i have just read a post on here that says creatine AFTER work out... i was always advise to take 30/60 an hour before hand. Plus the creatine ester i had says to do that and advise protien afterwards. is this correct?

i have been doing this one week and i have noticed results already. I only swim, mind you. but i have def noticed a change. i was wondering if any swimmer out there that could advise a stroke or technique that would do

A - Lower Pec (around the nipple area) you see man-boobs reamins hang there.
and also
B - increase bi-cep and tricep (the one on the outside of the arm?)

sorry for the newbee stuff, but i am just learning. any advise at would be just fan-tas-tic.

hey keps, im not 100% but commonsense would have you take creatine BEFORE the workout, what use is it having it afterwards, continue what your doing in regards to that.

What do you mean by "Do"
If you wanted to make the muscles stronger, do weight exercises for both muscles - triceps and pec major (sternal part)

ok thank you, thats what i thought, its just you get alot of people who talk about taking afterwards. thinking about it now, there is stuff you can buy that helps the recovery process... maybe thats what they are talking about. i am not sure.

its just i want to get some guns of navarone! HAHA well i have lumps, but you know just want to make sure my swimming exersixe is spot on to what i am aiming for thats all

The instructions say take 15-30 mins prior to your work out and 15-30 mins after. It also says to continue taking on your non work out days.

COuld be a scam I guess, but I bought the product with the intent to follow the instructions and see how things go. So far, I've gained some muscle, but I can not tell if creatine had anything to do with it or not. I'm sure it didnt hurt though.

Recent studies at the University of Texas show taking a protein shake before performing your weight training could actually increase effectiveness of the protein. Does your creatine have dextrose or other sugars mixed with it? If not it's ok to take afterward it's still in your system if ya take it every day. If you use other sugars with it though to get up for the workout take it 30-60 before. Why do you take creatine if you only swim? It only helps with short bursts of energy like weight training or sprinting. It does nothing for jogging, biking, swimming.

You apparently don't understand how creatine works. PLEASE READ the FAQ in the supplements section.

I'll also move this thread to that section, since it doesn't belong in 'weightlifting'.

Actually i do know do know, do you? :p
Ultimately as you put it, maximal results when saturated. I was just merely saying i would rather have it before then after, even though it wouldnt really make any difference as a single consumption of creatine so close to the exercise wouldnt make much a difference.
