Creatine mix

Hey guys, I'm about to order the stuff I need to make my own creatine shake. Right now, I only know about getting Creatine Ethyl-Ester and some glutamine (not sure what it does, but I've heard about it)

So here's the question. What does glutamine do and what other products might I want to throw in there?

Also, does anyone know anything about a product called Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate?

Thanks guys

If I were you I'd just go with pure creatine. I've never seen anything scientific suggesting glutamine does anything good for you when compared to a regular diet.

Never heard of arginine alpha-ketoglutarate, but I seriously doubt it has much of an effect, it just sounds like another one of those fancy things. If I were you, I'd spend my money on creatine and protein supplements.

creatine monohydrate is all you should need. but there's nothign wrong with pure creatine ethyl ester either. These are the only two creatine forms that are studied and proven to be effective.

skip the glutamine, it does nothing.
skip the arginine alpha such-n-such. its just an arginine supplement which you do NOT need. this is the crap they put in "NO" type products and it will not give you any benefits in the gym, or during recovery. Its just hype.

Alright, thanks guys. Also, tenpercent, you might want to take a look at this website, it has alot of discounted creatine and stuff.

200 servings for $18 or 500 for $30

Dude, all you need is plain Creatine Mono. Cheap, easy. I bought 80 servings today for 12 bucks.

Exactly.
