Creatine and whey

Hi all im just starting out and ive got a tub of Creatine powder and whey (called Whey to Wiet) they are both made by a company called Body Supreme.
Im needing to lose quite a bit of weight and will be going to the gym to do spinning classes and also will be going on the elliptical cross trainers. Im a single mum of 3 so iam going to try and go every day which might no be possibly every week.

My question is when is the best time for me to take the creatine powder and the whey to diet powder? Im completely new to this and not too sure on what im doing.

Thanks

To be honest you probably dont need either as long as you are getting protein in your diet.

If you are going to use them, I would use them to replace 1 or 2 meals a day. If you are trying to loose body fat and retain lean body mass (muscle, bones, organs, blood, everything except fat), you need to reduce your intake of carbs while getting enough quality protein and good fats to maintain and repair the lean body mass damaged during exercise. Concentrate your diet protein sources (meat, eggs, dairy, nuts, etc.) and fruits and vegetables. Avoid sugar and starchy carbs.
You might also want to include some resistance exercise in your routine. Resistance exercise is the most effective exercise for fat loss.

Creatine is used to help your body replenish it's ATP supply between bursts of energy. If you're trying to lose weight and burn fat, I don't see the need for you to use it. Besides, it causes you to retain some water, which some people have said gives them a "bloated" look.

As far as the whey is concerned, I don't think you need that either. Personally, I only use whey when I'm bulking. When I'm cutting, I don't drink shakes at all. I get everything I need from clean eating. If you can eat 1g of protein per 1lb of body weight a day to maintain muscle and cut way back on carbs, I think you'll be happy. I would also try to get in some weight training as that helps your body burn cals even when you aren't at the gym.

You also don't need to go every day. You can, by all means, but if you get your diet straight and burn more cals than you take in every day, you could go 3 days a week and be fine. Google "TDEE Calculator" and figure out what your daily expenditure is and go from there. Good luck!
