Creatine... 2 weeks later

Hi, i have been taking creatine for the last 2 weeks as well as cutting out any alcohol....

I have noticed a big improvement in the gym (still going 5 days a week) however i am not sure if it is the creatine, a placebo effect or the fact that i haven't been out partying the last 2 weekends... maybe a combination of all...

I have 2 small questions which i hope someone can help me with...

1 - i have to go to a party tonite and i would like to have a few beers... should i still take the creatine after the gym (before i go to the party) and should i still take it in the morning when i wake up (with a hangover)

2 - my stomach feels very bloated at the moment (which i know is a side effect of creatine)... is this because i have only started taking the creatine and will it fade away or will i constantly be bloated...

Thanks in advance for any help you can give on the above...
 
1) Creatine means you need to take in a lot more water. Alcohol dehydrates you. As long as you make sure you're getting enough water down you'll be alright. Stopping taking the same day won't really affect your water retention, so won't really make a difference, just make a constant effort to drink water...

2) This won't go away - you could try buffered creatine (kre-alkalyn) if this is becoming too much of an issue.
 
1. stay hydrated
2. kre-alkylyn is barely studied, and unproven. Unlike monohydrate and ethyl ester which DO have some good research on them.
