Could someone please create a sticky on this subject?

Hi,
just looking around in this "Body Weight Training" section and note that there are many unanswered threads. Perhaps "Body Weight Training" is not popular enough? I know I would love to hear a sticky written up about it, as there just seems to be so much lack of direction in this forum on the subject.

For starting out I think it is the ultimate way to train...but don't know enough myself to start a routine. There also just seems so many benefits on using the body to train with no equipment needed at all.

Could you recommend a book?

Anyone up to the challenge of writing up a sticky? does not have to be done by an expert...anyone?.........Some of us need real help in this area, so please, if you feel you can write up on the subject and give us a daily routine or routines...I know many of us would be really appreciative.

Cheers
Dave

Its no different than making a routine that uses weights. Just choose an exercise for each of the major muscles and perform 3 sets of each 3 times per week.
Bodybuilding.com - Exercise Guides Database.

For example:
squats
push ups
chin ups
crunches
supermans
burpees

This is one way to set it up, but there are many.

I recommend this book.

Everyone that i know that has it says great things about it.

Heres a few things to look over:

I agree, bodyweight training is such a great way to exercise and for people to get into exercising. You can do it anywhere and basically without any equipment...
There are thousands of variations to keep it interesting... It's great!
