Sport cooked egg-white nutirion information

Sport Fitness
I was wondering if anyone could tell me the protein and calorie content of an average sized egg-white after its cooked (hardboiled). Every site i find, has them either dried or raw and its measured in grams. I have no idea how many grams of egg whites are in an egg

Thanks,
Matt

uhm... i think when you buy eggs, it says on the carton its nutricional value. I think it's 13 g of protein...

1 large egg white = 3g protein
1 large egg yolk = 3g protein 5g fat

1 whole large egg = 6g protein, 5g fat, 0g carbs, 77cals.

Where do you buy eggs ? 13 grams of protein per egg ?? Are they Ostrich eggs ??

My "box O' egg whites' has 6grams of protein/egg white.. Maybe they just compensate for the yolk with white..

mreik,

yeah they are probably figuring the volume of a whole egg per serving, so you get the same 6g of protein, but no fat/cholesterol.

Has eating 1 egg white every day any side effects on health? I usually eat it boiled. Plus why everyone eat eggs in da morning? afternoon or ev is no good?

One last question, (I don t want to open a thread just for this)....Usually before goin to sleep ( an hour or two before) I eat tuna (in can) or cottage cheese in order to give my self lean proteins...well I m kinda sick of them....any other options available??

cheers

i looked it up and got
1 egg white 4g of protein
and the yolk was 5g of fat and 2.5 or 3g of saturated fat
1g of protein isn't much of a big deal but when u eat like 3-6 that 1g of protein can mean alot.

depends. I gave the average. If you buy extra large eggs, of course they have more volume inside, and thus more grams of protein and fat.

Gip: no, no side effects from eating 1 egg white a day. none from eating 5-6 per day either.
in america, eggs are thought of as breakfast food, so we eat them in the morning. absolutely nothing wrong with having em for lunch, dinner, or a snack either if it helps you meet your dietary needs. keep some boiled in the fridge. unpeeled, they'll keep for about 5 days safely.

any slow digesting protein pre-bedtime is fine. even a shake with a tablespoon of olive/flax oil or peanut butter works in a pinch.

keep it at 5 cans or less of chunk light tuna per week, or 3 cans of white albacore tuna per week. Any more risks mercury toxicity.
