Consuming Coconut Oil for weight loss.

I've read some people use coconut oil to aid in weight loss. Does it work or is it a myth?

On its own coconut oil is not going to make you lose weight but it is not a complete myth as it does have some benefits.
 
I do believe that coconut oil can help you lose weight, but it will have to be a part of a balanced diet. Poor diet together with coconut oil isn't going to help in weight loss.

You can use coconut oil easily when cooking Indian or other "exotic" food. You can also add coconut oil to your coffee or smoothie! I always add it to my morning smoothie (=banana, frozen berries and 1 tbsp coconut oil). It keeps me nice and full until lunch.
