You guys, salads are good for you, don't remove them from your diet. Green veggies contain carbs mostly as fiber. Fiber is indigestible, so it doesn't count. Eat your greenies and have no worries.
Plus, green veggies have antioxidants which is another major benefit.
Stuff to know if on a low-carb diet (you don't have to go on low carb, but it is a good alternative for many people that are carb sensitive):
1. Count your carbs. Do not include carbs that come from fiber in the counting - they are indigestible to us humans. Low carbs will make you burn fat as fuel.
2. Count your calories. If you are not in a negative calorie balance, you won't be losing weight, no matter how low your carbs are. Tis that simple
3. Go for more activity and training instead of less eating. If you eat too little, you'll STOP losing weight.
4. A super easy meal plan: meats and greens
Good luck!
