Hi,

New here!

recently I get hungry very often, and I need to eat more than usual to get full. If I don't eat enough, I feel hnger and that hurts. Is there anyway I could reduce my intake need?

Thanks in advance

Are you mistaking thirst for hunger? Are you drinking enough water through out the day? I find that when I dont drink enough water I get very hungry and eat more than required. Also; try and eat smaller meals every 3 hours and add foods like salads; cucumbers green which fill you up for less in your diet....

Hope this will help.

i was exactly like that, probably even worse. i couldn't stop eating until i was stuffed, it was only then i felt i was full.
however, i got out of it by eating smaller portions and leaving myself "not satisfied" for like a week, and now it takes much less food to make me full.
also, i read somewhere that "it's OK to be hungry sometimes". that made me laugh and it actually worked to think about it :p

good luck :)

Its understandable. I have this thing where I can absolutely not fall asleep on an empty stomach. I have to eat before bed. So I do, and I sleep, but now I eat virtually zero fat and carbs while doing so.

Great tips.

dreamtobethin, I get enough water. Actually, now that I think about it, this may be the reason I have got like this. I have been drinking a lot of water, and this has probably expanded my stomach... this could very well be why
Salads.. I read somewhere ( I think it was Atkin's diet) even salad has lots of carbs. So I have stopped eating greens for a while.

obsession, I will try eating even more frequently. But Im a student and I can't be hungry.. cause I won't be able to study :(

ImaFatass, What I do in these situations is
1) drink warm milk; or
2) put something under my stomach, like a small pillow, and sleep against my stomach. This has helped 95% of the time, 5% when I am super hungry.

Well, I'm a student too and it worked out for me :)
I'm not saying you should walk around hungry, I'm just saying maybe eat smaller portions and leave yourself "not full". You will find that after a few days you'll be full by the food that earlier just made you satisfied.

Also, I would reconsider the greens if I were you. They may have a little bit of carbs, but they also contain lots of good nutrients like fiber and calcium, and lots of vitamins and minerals. To be most successful I think it's better to find a balance and keep it for the rest of your life, than to follow a hype diet.

Good luck again! :)

Dash, eat quality protein + healthy fats. They'll make you feel full. If you eat lots of carbs ONLY, you'll have to eat until your stomach feels full.

Are you sure? Because it is the salad dressing which contains all the bad carbs; not all carbs are bad..I dont know much abt atkins but the diet I follow allows me to have good carbs such as Veggies/ Yam/ Greens/ Lettuce/ Radish/Cucumbers I mix them all up and sprinkle balsamic vinegar over them; I also add in fruits in the mix to make it tastier like berries/1/4 cup diced apple/ a slice of diced pineapple and sometimes throw in some beans for some extra crunch. When you have the salads stay away from all types of creamy dressing even if the label says Low Fat or No Fat. A lot of these dressings have very high sodium content so avoid them.

You guys, salads are good for you, don't remove them from your diet. Green veggies contain carbs mostly as fiber. Fiber is indigestible, so it doesn't count. Eat your greenies and have no worries.

Plus, green veggies have antioxidants which is another major benefit.

Stuff to know if on a low-carb diet (you don't have to go on low carb, but it is a good alternative for many people that are carb sensitive):

1. Count your carbs. Do not include carbs that come from fiber in the counting - they are indigestible to us humans. Low carbs will make you burn fat as fuel.
2. Count your calories. If you are not in a negative calorie balance, you won't be losing weight, no matter how low your carbs are. Tis that simple :)
3. Go for more activity and training instead of less eating. If you eat too little, you'll STOP losing weight.
4. A super easy meal plan: meats and greens :)

Good luck!

Didn't know that B4
I just bought a couple of bags of salads, and will start on them.. They do fill you up pretty quickly!

Meat and salads is a great advice. Ill definetly try that.

Yup, you can also try berries. They don't raise your blood suger level and are a nice addition (in moderation of course) to a meat+greens regimen.

Hunger Cravings

For some reason I am always hungry and it seems that I eat so much in tell I have been taking Hoodithin and I am never hungry. I have lost 10 pounds in a month and feel better than ever.
