Hello
So I understand weight loss is a function of caloric intake versus caloric expenditure. I've read multiple places that say that greatly reducing the number of calories you intake will only help you lose weight in the short term but in reality your body is going into starvation mode because it is not used to the decrease in calories you are taking in. According to the app myfitnesspal, I should be eating around 1700 calories but for the past few days I've eaten around 1200. Everything I eat is good for me in some way (whole grains, lean protein, etc) and I do not eat an ounce of empty carbohydrates. I eat enough to feel full at every meal and I eat a healthy snack (handful of almonds, an apple or some other fruit, a few baby carrots) in between my main meals so I'm never starved throughout the day. Is how I'm eating considered "starvation mode"??? I just don't want my weight loss to be a short term thing...
Any response is greatly appreciated. have a nice day!
