confused!...when should I work-out?

hey guys,
so I realize that everyone works out at different times of the day/week depending on when they can squeeze it into their schedules... but are there any theories on when it's better to do cardio or when it's better to lift weights? Like I heard someone say it's bad to do weight-lifting when you first get up... or, it's best to do cardio after weight-lifting... stuff like that.

Are there any general agreements on when it's best to work out?

If there are no rules on what time it is good to work-out, are there any rules on when it is not good to work out? (e.g., don't do weight-lifting after cardio? i dunno, i just made that up as an example)

Any thoughts???

I can't speak for everyone but most people that have a resistance training/cardio set up perfer cardio in the morning and resistance training later in the day. However, it's very subjective.

The last article I read stated it's best to give yourself a couple hours between waking and lifting but this is not an absolute.

i like to do weights then a jog for cardio.....my preference tho!!!

also, i have a question.....When you ache the morning after a workot is that a good or bad thing ???

Time of day to workout

If you ask the people majority say that they work out in the morning as it makes the body active. The afternoon is not a good time to work. However evening is also preferred for working out with many people.
However you can choose any part of the day to work out , there is no harm in it
Thanks

This is what I do, I do cardio in the morning for 40 mins,(WALK ON TREADMILL), go for protein shake, off to work, In the evening, I start with 20 mins cardio, Do weights, end with 10mins cardio. I adopted this for weight loss. Am I in right track guru's?
