Hi Everyone, I am a newbie who's been poking around on the site for some time now. I have read in several posts that people often recommend the Kashi cereal. I am currently working out with a personal trainer three times a week with weights and doing HIIT cardio at home five times a week at least 30 minutes a day early morning. My goal is to lose at least 20lbs and reduce BF substantially; I am currently at 34.9%, 5'7 and 185 pounds. Two questions:
1. Am I reducing my chances of reaching my goals by doing cardio before my first meal in the morning? I generally get up at 5:30, do cardio and shower before 6:30 and I am out of the door by 7:30 a.m. I usually make a Isopure protein shake two scoops, with strawberries and skim milk along with a piece of fruit in the car (also drink two more of these during the day at work).
2. I am a little confused about Kashi cereal. When I compare it's nutritional facts to that of Cheerios, Kashi has more Fat, more sugar, more calories, slightly more carbs and more potassium.
It does however have more protein and less sodium...................is that a good trade? Or can I just eat the Cheerios.... taste better IMO . I think I am getting enough protein from the Isopure and regular meals.
Any thoughts?
Seems like the hardest thing for me to do is eating right, trying to even-out the six meals a day.
Thx
Meek
