Sport concern over diet and development

so as i understand if you want to loose body fat, (eg cutting), then you have to lower calories and do things like not eat carbs in the evening etc. however as a 20 year old and therefore still developing, is doing this just for the sake of a six pack counter productive in the long run. like to hear ppls thoughts on this cheers
 
yeah thats good advice, you should always listen to your body. do you so this not eating carbs at night?
