I'm not sure if he still visits, but Conan has an account on this site. Anyway, an hour ago a mensa magazine was put through my door and he was the cover story. I've got to offer my congratulations to the dubbed 'world's biggest bright guy.'

He still posts the occasional article or comment. I enjoy his stuff.

But uhh, I'm still gonna have to take his title. Just as soon as I get my mind and body up to par. 'Sup, buddy. :beerchug: ;)

Pretty much anyone can be a Mensa member. Requirement is only 98th percentile or higher. That's why they're so well known - it's easy to get in.

Which is not to say Conan isn't a smart dude, I'm just sayin': Mensa isn't exactly prohibitively difficult to get into.

You are confused about the difference between statistical probability and Bayesian probability. IQ is not a measure of intelligence as much as it is a measure of (the lack of, actually) sociocultural preparedness (adaptation). A few years of study can elevate most any score short of full-on developmentally delayed into the mid-130s quite easily. Beyond that usually requires the development of processing speed. Hence, "pretty much anyone". :)

I have had the pleasure of jousting with the general (a class 5). The creature in question is at best a class 2. That's all I'm sayin'. Why, I don't know, as it's very likely nobody even knows what I'm talkin' about. :rofl:

I understand.

My post was really a general comment. Though I didnt like the guy...he was sometimes rather interesting (referring to Tani)....though he got under my hair (what I have left of it :)) when he ruffled some brotha and sista's skin (like sara's for instance, though we cant view this thread since it was removed "from a normal registered user's view-o-meter").

Some of Conan's viewpoints were "sometimes" just taken out of context. Its good that he is doing well.
