Compression shirts for running?

Hey,

New to this forum, and I'm hoping for some info about this - has anyone had positive experience using upper body compression clothing while running? I personally prefer something with pockets (cycling jerseys) so unless there's a cardiovascular improvement I'd prefer spending the money on something else.

Any info appreciated!

A positive experience? Not really. When i run i run with out a shirt and so do a lot of people i know. I cant see a way a shirt would help, or hurt ur run.

Save your money and buy a great pair of running shoes(with the money ur spend on shirts). Asics preferably. There great!!!

yeah of course i don't skimp on shoes :p using Asics Kinsei 2, on my 3rd pair now.

Still would be interested in people's opinion on compression shirts

Some people make so much money getting people to buy expensive running equipment.
If you have good shoes, why not spend the money on some extra good food, or put it toward something more useful than an over-priced gymic

Ah yes good old skins. I shouldn't say anything bad about them, I sell them. I work at Rebel Sport in clothing and sooo many kids come in and their parents spend $70 on skins because everyone else has them. I'd like to say that the kid REALLY DOES NEED THEM but i really don't know. I mean what did we do before skins?
I tell them they're great anyway. I should buy a pair and see for myself. They are so expensive though. $150 for women's capri's or longs:confused4:

I get some knock off brands at wholesale cost that work just as well. I got 3 for $7, not that expensive.

Shorts, yeh.. shirt? Only on competitive long distance running I'd expect, for ventilation and such.

Shoes sounds a more practical investment ;)
