Combining Soy MILK and Whey Protein Mix (Catabolism Question)

I typically mix a tall glass of Soy Milk in the morning with 20g of Whey Protein powder, and after workouts I may do the same, depending on how hard I worked.

I've read that combining caesin protein, or food protein (which is slower), will slow down the catabolic rate of the Whey Protein, which is very fast acting.

To simplify, is Soy Milk w/ Whey still good for a fast acting protein, or is it good for a slower-acting protein?

And if its slow, what should I mix my Whey Protein powder in, water?

Thanks.

Anyone have any info on this? I mix my protein w/ soy milk as well. Is there any pro's/con's as opposed to using regular milk?

The whey will be absorbed quickly in either soymilk or water. If im right, the soy milk will absorb considerably slower but not as long as casein. Your safe just taking that.
