Clothing Issues

Seeing as it's like a morgue in here today I thought I'd try and think of something to talk about :)

The main issue I have concerning me at the moment is clothing. One of the side effects of bulking up that I wasn't expecting has been an inability to find clothes that fit. I'm still a pretty slim guy but the only clothes that fit are designed for heavily overweight people.

An example; I have an 18" neck 46" chest and 35" waist, that means that I need to buy size 18 shirts which all seem to come with a standard 50" waist measurement. My shirts now look like tents!
Does anyone (especially those in the UK) know of places you can buy fitted shirts and T-shirts in XL sizes?

Also, all my jeans are too tight round my bum and thighs, If I want jeans that fit well round my legs and bum I need to go for silly waist sizes.

I know there are guys on here bigger than me, what do you do? Have you all settled for wearing tight T-shirts and jeans all the time?

18neck 46chest and 35waiste! dang!

This is a tough one. I have had the same problem.

The easiest solution is grow a bigger stomach. :eek2: Just Kidding.

I have had a lot of clothes tailored. It is easiest and does not cost that much (in the US. I cant speak for costs where you are) and everything looks better when it is made to fit you.

Of course you have to get everything tailored about ever 6 months or so if you keep making progress. :D

FF: I'm 6'2" so it's not that big really, it's just that clothing manufacturers seem to assume that if your chest is large so too will your waist.

Lol, damn right, I've bought 2 new suits in last 6 months because I keep growing and busting the trousers. I recently noticed a hole between the legs of my suit trousers that I bought only 2 months ago!

I had thought about tailored clothes but if I'm still growing then I'm worried I wouldn't get much use out of them. Do you keep old clothes in case you lose weight in the future?

Has anyone tried those shops that cater for tall and fat people? Are they any good?

I should have since I have gained and lost 100lbs 3X. I never have kept them though, always new clothes for me.

They are pretty good. I have to have all of the pants and shirt arms shortened because I am not tall.

my bf is the same way.. 5'9 225lbs and not fat by any means.. he ends up buying a lot online and hoping they fit.
