Cliff protein bars

Hey all, has anyone tried the Cliff Protein bars? They claim to have 20gram of protein which would be great. Do you guys eat them before or after workouts? What's the best flavor? I have seen chocolate chip, peanut butter or chocolate peanut butter. I can get them in large packs at Costco for a pretty good price but wanted some opinions first. Thanks!

Before I started my competition training I used to ate them for post work and sometimes as a snack. I've tried mint chocolate, peanut butter chocolate, vanilla almond, cookies n cream, and chocolate. They all tasted great to me...and I'm picky about protein bars.

I usually have them around (from Costco as well), but I only have them as a "just in case" food. In general I try not to promote the regular eating of highly processed foods, but how often you have them is really up to you :)

Ehhh i find a lot of those brands, or really any protein bar really has a really crummy flavor, kind fo dry.. just not nice to eat for me.

actually, with that in mind, i'd really strongly encourage the Lenny & larry muscle brownies, they aren't dry, they have just as much protein, and they are all natural ingredients which is a pretty big plus for me.
i'm a bit of a taste snob, so it's pretty rare for me to really enjoy anything like this, but i was pretty impressed with the triple chocolate flavor!
they have these sample packs now, so i tried out a few of the flavors

My husband really likes them - all flavors but the mint chocolate (he doesn't do mint). He says that eating them pre-workout is not good - belly ache or bloating, so he uses them post workout.

I've rarely met a bar I like (and don't care for these either).

No costco in this town, the best price I ever see is $1.00/bar.

me no likey bars... to many stages in the manufacture and additives.

a half sanny of natural PB and jelly is just nice, along with a squirt of natural clover honey, and I'm off to the races.
