Weight-Loss CLA, Protein Powder and others - Weight Loss

Hey everyone!
As I am getting used to go to the gym everyday (first time at a gym) I am starting to be closer to things I wasn't used to as well such as diet/workout supplements.
I would like to know your opinions on those such as CLA, Protein Powder and others, keeping in mind that my goal is weight loss.
The website myprotein was recommended to check for these products but it all seems unnecessary and not really helpful products. Let me know your opinions on those.
 
you do not need supplement unless you have a diagnosed deficiency otherwise you end up with very expensive pee.

protein powders are only needed if you don't get enough in a regular diet.

there are very few legal substances with actual science proving effectiveness, primarily caffeine (the primary ingredient in pre-workout sups), creatine and for runners bi-carb soda.

much of the science provided by supplement companies is poorly done, non peer reviewed and only provided to sell products.
