So we all know that natty pb is one of the tastiest healthy foods we can eat, but the real question is whether or not it's good for you, but if you prefer creamy or chunky... the answer is one even the great philosphers could not agree upon. So I ask you, chunky or creamy?

Creamy!!!!

Chunky, no creamy. Wait definitely chunky! Or, maybe creamy. Chunky, creamy, chunky ,creaeeeeeeemy, chuuuuunnnnnnkkkkyyyyyyy, crunky, chreamy, aaaaahhhhhhhhh I'm schizophrenic but i don't care as long as i have peeeeeeeaaannuuuttttt butttteeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

chunky. it just tastes fake when its creamy. too processed.

calcium, I think I'd enjoy the crunch of some peanuts in your whey balls :)

Creamy is usually more useful in making other recipes like thai peanut sauce. But sometimes having that crunch is a palate thriller too. I'll have to experiment when I try making my own pb.

I said chunky.. but I just have to say that I bought some "all natural" PB the other day... blech! Too bland for me. I think I can afford 90 more calories and just eat regular peanut butter. I'll be a loser and eat PB that has taste. :)

Natural Peanut Butter is not lower calories or shouldn't be. Its about natural products, not less fat or less calories. Try Skippy natural it seems to go over with the general public the best, if looking for natural that is.

Regular pb contains added added sugar and hydroginated oils, whereas nat pb contains only the oils from the peanuts

What the hell are you talking about organic peanut butter tastes SO MUCH better than artifical pb. It is so much creamier and much tastier.

Absolutely correct---at least with "smuckers" natty PB.

The Skippy variety they have as natty PB has refined white sugar in it.

Though he may have chosen the less healthy alternative, remember just because someone has a taste preference different that yours, doesnt make it wrong.

In this situation one has a two choice set: natty PB or the other types that have the bad ingredients (ie refined white sugar, hydrogenated oils, etc), and his "selection" may be considered a bad choice (referring to NeuroRN76) , and once he is aware of the choice set, and still chooses the other side, then this is his personal choice.

Whoa, calm down there, buddy. :yelrotflmao: It's a matter of opinion. I've tried both, and I prefer "regular" peanut butter. Sue me.

And whoever mentioned the calories, you're right, I just looked. The serving size for the all natural was 1 Tbsp = 100 cal. The regular PB was 2 Tbsp = 190 cal. I forgot to check serving size! Either way, I didn't care for it, and I'm pretty sure the world hasn't stopped turning. ;)

(pssst, I'm a girl!) :)

My personal choice is this. I'm not concerned with what is healthier in regards to the great "all natural vs. regular" debate. Peanut butter is not a main staple in my diet, so it really doesn't require much contemplation on my part. If I have a peanut butter sandwich, it's usually because I'm in a hurry. I keep it on the shelf because my child likes it. Otherwise my diet consists of fish, chicken, turkey, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. I eat healthy, but if I want some regular peanut butter, so be it. One tablespoon is negligible. And I'm not losing sleep over it. :p

it would be interesting to see how the responses are split up between men and women, because its been shown that men tend to prefer crunch while women and children tend to prefer creamy.
