When are you setting up your tree and decorate the house.

We usually make a wreath for Advent with four candles and each sunday we light them, first one then two etc. The appartment gets decorated sometime during the month of December - whenever I find the time and right mindset and the tree gets put up and decorated on Christmas Eve in the morning.

On Christmas Eve we go to church at around 4.30PM, then we have dinner and afterwards we exchange gifts. On Christmas Day we just have a relaxing day and a nice dinner, sometimes with family and sometimes without.

So, what are your stories????
 
Okay, You'll all get a kick out of this! The past two years we have set up our tree at the very end of OCTOBER! It started last year when I was expecting and I didn't want to deal with it just having a new baby. This year, my husband and daughter decided they liked it so much, they wanted it done early again this year. That aside, we don't decorate until the day after thanksgiving ( i don't want the neighbors to know were nuts by decorating at the same time as we put up the tree).

On Christmas eve my husbands family throws a big extended family christmas dinner and we only get gifts for grandma and grandpa. They always act surprised. That night we give one gift to our daughter to open. Then in the morning we get up real early to give our girls time to open presents, play and get dressed to be at grandma's by noon for a smaller christmas party with tons of presents for everyone!
 
We start our decs on the 1st of dec.The kids open one present christmas eve.We leve a santa sack at the end of there bed with some things in it and then when everyone gets up they can open the rest of there presen's under the tree.
My hubby told my son hes not looking forward to retiring as it will take him a week to put up the lights. LOL (how did he no)
