Chlesterol in protein shakes

I have just been going over the gnc site and it seems that all the protein supplements contain 50mg or more of chlesterol.

This discourages me from buying protein supplements.

Any comments on the cholesterol?

I looked into this as well, the label on Dymatize Elite Whey says 5 mg so that is the way I went. I did not find another brand that was low in cholesterol.

its hard to get protein without some cholesterol. protein powders are lower in cholesterol than egg yolks and red meat though.

as long as you're getting physical exercise the body will deal with the cholesterol. I wouldn't sweat it. my EAS protein has 40mg of cholesterol per 20g serving of protein.

i found this whey protein effortlessly, and it has only 1.5mg cholesterol.

but real meats im sure have even more cholesterol in them. so if your already eating real meats, not going to be much of a change.

I too was curious and frankly a bit concerned with the amount of cholesterol in the Whey Protein mix I've been taking (GNC Whey) it has 70mg of cholesterol.... now is that the bad cholesterol (LDL)? Or the good cholesterol (HDL)? Is there any way to to tell or find out? And has anyone tried the Whey Protein offered at:

Thanks!
