Sport chinese food???

How bad is chinese food for you. Just a plate of white rice chicken and a lil broccolli. I know the small bit of gravy isnt the best but is it really that bad for you?

One word, MSG, Chinese food is usually full of it. Then you have the "bad" oils, the low quality meat, the cooking method, and other bad ingredients and so on that makes most Chinese food not the "healthiest" food to eat.

Basically though the plate you described isnt Chinese food at all ;)

This article is a bit old, actually very old, but I think the facts still stay the same. It really just depends on the dish, not all Chinese food is unhealthy, but a lot of the common dishes are.

You can also choose to have what I just did for my PPWO meal.

10 egg whites
2 cups brown rice
Couple dashes of light soy sauce

BAM, you got chinese rice.....:)

you should just make your own at home, get some vegetables, and a low sodium spicy stir fry sauce. much healthier than fast food or restaurant food. sure there are many recipes online or I can send you a Thai Chicken/Shrimp recipe I got from my nutritionist.

Yes, try making it at home! I do whatever vegetables I have in the fridge (last night it was broccoli, green beans, carrots) with sesame seeds, egg whites, and chicken over a mix of brown/black/red rices. The key (for me) to preparing it easily is using a rice cooker; otherwise, I'd forget about the rice on the stovetop and would wind up killing a pot. (The rice cooker auto-shuts off--it's a big plus for me. :)) I dislike cooking, so this is really easy.
