Hey all!
So I got myself sound dumbbells yesterday! I have been looking at doing some leg work and upper body work with them.
For legs I was thinking of lunges mostly to start with and maybe squats. I was thinking if I did 3 sets of say 12-15 so its kind of like cardio too with light weights it would be good for me? I want to start really slowly and do mostly walking etc with a little bit of weights. I think I need to get cardio fit mostly first but tone with the Dumbbells.
I know how to do shoulder press/bicep and tricep exercises with the DB as a friend showed me last year. I definitely need to lose some of the fat on my arms lol! Would more triceps be best?
Also I was wondering... do girls do chest press for DB's? Is it still as important to do compared to guys? Some guys programs seem to have 3x chest exercises with inclines/decline etc? I really don't know where the "chest" or "pec" muscle are and what is just the boob lol. I was going to post a pic but didn't want to be rude haha.
Would 1 weights to 2 cardio be good for a total beginner?
Thanks!
