Cheat Meal / Exercise

So tonight i'm having a cheat meal. It will really be my first in about 1 month, i'm having pizza. I'll probably have a 9". I've reached my goal weight already, so i dont really want to lose anymore.

My question is, i'm going to hit the gym today. As far as burning off the cheat, am i better off to work out before i eat? or after i eat? I have the potential to be able to hit the gym immediately before going for supper. If i work out after, i wont be able to for a few hours later.
 
I'd do it on a rest day to be honest, alot less distruptive.
But if you really need to on a gym day, after...
 
Well first off remember that just because you reached your goal weight, congrats by the way, does not mean you should stop exercising. Now with that in mind. Simply exercise as you would normally. One cheat meal is not reason enough to reschedule your workout regiment.
 
Today certainly could be a rest day. I'll be going to the gym on Saturday for sure, and that will have met my "quota" that i follow per week. Today was going to be an extra day due to the fact i'm going out for the 'cheat'.
 
I had a cheat day recently - at a Chinese restaurant for a Sunday Buffet ;) I took Wolfy for a four mile run through the forest before the meal - my theory was that it at best might speed up my metabolism a little (I don't care if it isnt scientific, it made me feel better about it ;) )... Funny thing was, I restrained myself wonderfully at the meal.
 
I'm too scared to have a cheat meal right now, or snack even, I haven't had one for about 10 weeks now since I decided this is a new lifestyle for me and haven't looked back since, bad habits come backs so easily :(
I think the common thing is cheat days though, not meals ... :eek:
 
i had my meal. chicken alfredo pizza, garlic fingers with cheese. terrible huh. hah. after i ate, i drank an extra liter of water, and then this morning i hit the gym, and had an all protein breakfast. the scale has not budged. good for me where i'm trying to maintain.
