Hey everyone! This site is so fun to read...I'm really enjoying all the time I spend here reading everyone else's progress. So, I've been dieting really well for the past 2 months or so, I kicked sugar but then I had a little bit and now I'm obsessed! I want a completely sugar-free diet so this addiction has really been playing with my mind. I'm going to use these boards to check my progress and to be accountable bc honestly I could use the accountability from time to time. I have a bit of a problem...I binge. And I'm sure you're all going, "So what? I binge too!" but that's not all... I'm not going to go out and say it, because I'm ashamed and I'm going to KICK it! Well, I just got done eating 4 or 5 squares of a sugar-free chocolate bar and guess what...yup, I did it. Felt a bit discouraged so I decided to join this here and now! I'm not fat, in fact I lost pretty much all the weight that I gained over the last 8 months. I've just got this huge fear of gaining again and I feel like I can't control my binges. THAT is exactly what I'm going to do here. I'm going to prove to all of you, and myself that I can do this all on my own! So i guess it all starts now (even though it started quite some time ago)! I've got a clean slate now so I might as well use it.
Now, I don't know if there are any workout buffs here but that's what my goal is, to tone the rest of my body. I have some chub on my belly and a little bit on my sides that I'd like to lose, but I'm really concerned with having a toned Jessica Alba-ish bod! That's the goal, it seems doable if I focus. I really don't need to lose weight, maybe just a few pounds like 5-8. I read a bit of Paula's journal and I could really use a bit of guidance workout wise. I've started taking a protein powder and I feel that it's really working for me.
Oh yeah, and my diet is Somersizing - Suzanne Somers that is! It's great, healthy, and wonderful! I've been eating this way for 2 months and losing/maintaining wonderfully! It's surprising to be able to eat fats and lose, but 1000s of people don't lie! It works...and it's delicious!

Hey Chica!

I hear ya about wanting to look like Jessica. She has the most amazing build. I admire her dedication because it's well known that her family has weight issues.

Maintaining can be as difficult as dieting. Great idea to seek support. I'm here for ya!
 
Thanks girls! Aww it's great getting support! Yup, I'm trying to get the famous Jessica Alba abs...WILL DO IT!

I went to the gym today and had an excellent workout with very refreshing news when I stepped on the scale before workout. I'm down a lb! I was 122.5 and today 121.5. It feels great to lose even that little bc I'd been working on it for awhile.

Gym workout today:
5 minutes fast walk warmup
200 crunches
stretch
Weights/Machines - 12 machines 25-35 reps one set each
Treadmill - 25 minutes
5min fast walk
1min sprint alternating 1 min fast walk for 15min
5 min cool down

Not too bad, huh?

Eats for the day: (will update w/calories as day goes on)
Breakfast/Lunch (I woke up late...real late)
melon wait 20 minutes
bowl of oatmeal w/ skim milk and ss
 
Great job on the workout, you will have those abs in no time!!

K now I know what somersizing is! LOL. I can relate to your binging issues, I will do that too but with things like nachos or pizza etc and then I feel so guilty, not a good feeling. You've got a great plan of action, you'll be there so soon!

God i so want a toned stomach! pretty unrealistic at the minute seeing as its all flab! hehe. im so excited for having a toned body - its also really important to me that i dont have excess skin - hopefully it will "snap back".
I hear you about the success stories! its so amazing to be around people in similar positions and journeys to healthy bodies :) i love this place
 
Computer problems...

Ahhh, it's just horrible when my internet doesn't work!
Well lets see:

Exercise routine:
Same as yesterday

Eats
Breakfast/Lunch: pro-fat pancakes w/asparagus
Snack: 1/4 melon, citrucel shake
Dinner: buffalo mozz salad w/ chicken and mushrooms
Snack: 1/4 melon, citrucel shake

*even though i had a snack at like midnight I'm pretty happy with myself bc I really wanted BAD stuff and I opted for the fruit and citrucel. It may sound weird that I wanted citrucel but It's a no sugar chocolate shake so it's delish!

Hey Michelle: Haha, isn't binging terrible!!! Well, I haven't binged on foods in 2 days! Go me!

You are doing so well...I hear yah with the jessica abs...I am working so hard to tone my body too, now I'm down to the last couple layers of flab...

Your workouts sound great!

Keep up the good work!
 
I know, toning is so hard and tedious...but it'll be worth it in the long run!

Eats:
Breakfast: 3/4 cup oatmeal, 3/4 cup skim milk
Lunch:
Dinner:

Not too sure if I'm going to the gym today on account that I'm kinda sore. I think I'll just stay at home and do pilates and crunches.
 
You're doing so well!

Great job on somerizing! I'm doing my own thing - majorly cutting cals, and working out.... it's so cool to find a few people on here looking to really tone and and lose those last icky lbs. Have a great day!
