Change or No?

this is currently what I am working with.. ive been told that lifting free weights is much more effective then lifting the "home gym" type.. for example:

im thinking should i get rid of this and get either a treadmill or an ab bench? and just stick to the free weights for benching?

You should stick to the free weights for more than just benching. What about squats, deadlifts, rows, etc.? They should be part of your routine as well. Forget the ab bench, and instead of buying a treadmill, just run outside. I'd instead invest in a squat rack and some heavier dumbells. You got the bench and a barbell with weights, maybe a pullup bar and a dip station would be something investing in as well.
 
so do you think i should completely get rid of that home gym piece and just keep everything free weights?
