Change is coming

I have hit rock bottom.

I am 29 years old, I weight 302 pounds. I have high cholesterol and I take pills for my hypertension. That's not where I imagined myself to be at 29. I have always struggled with my weight. Although in the past I was able to shed 88 pounds in my college days and maintained that weight for a good three years. Everything crumbled after I started working. Priorities changed and my health and image fell from the top of the list. Since then I have always lived in a state of a failing diet but that's about to change.
It's not a matter of looking good anymore or finding clothe that fit. I don't want to be the guy that died at the age of 32 cause he ate his heart out.

The goal is to loose 81 pounds July by doing the following:

  • Putting my health and image on top of my priority list
  • 1800 calories daily intake / low carb-high protein diet
  • A minimum of 4 days of excersize a week

I will be updating this thread on monthly basis with my progress.

Hope that was not too long.

Positive reinforcment is always welcome.

Happy new year Everyone!

Welcome to the forum. Aiming to lose x number of pounds by x date puts lots of pressure on yourself. An all or nothing approach can be doomed to failure. Instead, decide to eat healthier & exercise more & weight will come off. Losing weight slowly & in a healthy way will help keep it off & you will be making changes to your lifestyle that should be sustainable long-term. Think about keeping your own diary in here. Use it however you like. It's best to name it something positive & not something you will regret as you lose weight & become healthier & fitter. You can do this. You'll find lots of support along the way. Cheers & Happy New Year to you too, Cate.
