Hey guys!

For the past few weeks i've cut out bread, pasta, rice and potatoes and so im living on cereal, grilled chicken (with sauces) and vegetables.

I have a bowl or two of cereal a day and 2 chicken breasts with some sauce and some vegetables.

Just wondering how good is this for me?
How good is having that much chicken?

that much chicken is fine... but it sounds like you're doing a variation of the 'special K' diet which isn't all that special... it's far too low a calorie diet.

Read the stickied threads and get an idea of what proper nutrition is...

not really... as long as it's not deep fried..

Get an account at -and keep track of your calories...

1 ounce of boneless, skinless chicken breast is only 31 calories - if you had a 10 ounce piece -which would be pretty large -that's only 310 calories...

I second the FitDay suggestion. It will tell you caloric intake and break it down into percentages (% from fat, carb, protein) and all kinds of useful information.

I was using a PC-based program briefly but I liked that I could add food to FitDay as I ate it without having to write anything down to enter in later.

i have looked at that fit day and cuz it's american i cant enter some of the foods i eat over here in the uk, so it wouldnt be accurate for me :(

If you do a search on food journal and UK - I'm sure you will find one that has UK based foods - they do exist... keeping track of your calories - even for the short term - is reeally in your best interest - it's tough to know what to cut -unless you know what you're taking in..
