Century's BOB Opponent

I was interested in purchasing a Bob XL from Century.

And I was wondering if any of you have any experience with this product. Durability and the such. I have a wavemaster right now, but would like something that is more target specific. Head, ribs, thighs, etc.

Any opinions?

To be honest nothing is ever gonna be as good as a heavy 7ft bag on a short chain.

Only buy a Bob if
a) you already have a heavy bag,
b) you need something free standing.

I paid 300GBP for one ($600) and ripped it to bits inside a year because I wore small bag gloves. If your punching heavy you need to be wearing propper boxing gloves (at least 8oz)

That is good enough for me. I am not going to pay $400 for a BOB if I need to wear boxing gloves the whole time and pat it on the bum to keep it alive. They have a few at a local dojo my friend teaches at, but they rarely use them. I use my wavemaster 2-3 times a week for up to an hour each session. The BOB sounds like it would not stand up to that, especially since the last two rounds are bare knuckle.

Thank you for your reply Mr. Lewis.

lol - Yeah I did hapkido for about a year. The breakfalls are pretty crazy. Never done one over a 6foot bob tho!

when I was 17, (110lbs) I would be able to jump bacwards 4ft in the air and land on my back.

I cant do that anymore (167lbs) :(
