Casein protien

Does any one use a Casein protein before bed time? I just bought a tub of optimums Casein for when i sleep because i wake up in the night hungry.

I used to. I didn't take it to keep my hunger at bay (I just ate more). I took the casein to complement the whey protein shakes I had during the day.

But I know what you mean about being hungry. I used to get so hungry in the middle of the night, the hunger pains would wake me up and I'd actually make myself a small meal. Horrible thing to do when you think about it, but when you're hungry, what else can you do?

Depending on what you add to the shake, you will probably be able to stave off your hunger until morning time :)

But fiber supplementation would probably be of more benefit. Unless you actually are not eating enough.

I can write a book on what to do about hunger pains....there are many things one can do..........:action8:

Deficit diet = hunger pains.

Hunger pains = being proactive and expectant to combat it.

Best wishes

I used to and am taking casein before bed. No hunger pain here. On some nights, I eat cottage cheese and on other night, its Casein (optitum brand). It's pretty thick but works well for me.

Sorry tp jump in on this thread.

I just started a FBW on MWF with cardio on T & T. I'm thinking about taking protein. Should I be taking whey during the day and casseine at night? My main aim is to lose BF and become pretty lean. When should I be taking whey, at breakfast and immediately after my workout?
