ok so I really like carrots but I have heard somewhere that they arent the best in a diet but I dont know they seem too have so many good qualities. Will eatting one who carrot like every other day be ok maybe even good for me or are they a lot of calories or something someone help please

Here is the nutritional info on carrots... select the size you're eating, and you be the judge:

The Good
This food is very low in Saturated Fat and Cholesterol. It is also a good source of Thiamin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folate and Manganese, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K and Potassium.

The Bad
A large portion of the calories in this food come from sugars.

They aren't a lot of calories - nor is the sugar in them something you should be scared of... carrots every day wont hurt you at all - bugs bunny eats lots of carrots and he's doing alright :)

Ever heard of a person who could honestly say "I'm fat because I ate too many carrots"? Didn't think so.

I have to agree with this. Worried about the sugar in orange juice or chocolate or something else is fair enough but carrots are great for you. I eat them every day (grow them at home).

That doesn't mean you should go an eat KG's of them but a few a day are good for you.

well I have always been told. "too much of anything isnt great for you" even things considered good for you I guess. I just wanted to know because I heard they were more calories then most veggies. I really like peas are they pretty good for you

Well, there is a chance a carotene "overdose" could occur and cause an orange pigmentation to the skin. If this occurs just lay off the carrots for a while and your skins natural color will return. If one continues in such a case it might cause liver damage.
No, I'm not joking...

Carrots are also known as a negative calorie food. You burn far more calories digesting them then that is in the carrots themself. I eat them at least once a day.

See this link on negative calorie foods:

Well first of all carrots are veggies and that means that they have lots of vitamins and are also very healthy. But you shouldn't eat too many of them at night, because they decrease the burning of fat in your body as they contain many carbohydrates. But if you have them for lunch or in the afternoon you will be fine!

do you have documented proof of this?

I would like to know the answer to that question as well. 3 ounces of carrots (which is a pretty good size) has 7 carbs in it. It has 6g of sugar as well. That is not MANY carbs in my book.

Plus you have to remember you body burns MORE calories trying to digest the carrots than the amount of calories in the carrot itself. With that being said, I do not understand how this would decrease fat burning if ate at night. Does your body not digest food at night??

that inability to spell peas was so unfortunate.... I had no idea that watersports were actually a form of protein...

pees are great... makes you lose weight
I know how to spell peas. Its even spelled correcting the in the post I quoted. Obviously thats a simple typing error.

If you want to get technical. Water sports are a "form" of protein. Physical activity increase the body's protein synthesis. So, in a way you are getting protein from it. :)

easy there, bunny, your silk and ruffly's are gettin into a twist

Truth be told, some people think they have a bad rap, because all the low-carb diet geniuses started attacking them. Basically, according to them, all the fatty pork you want is good, yet carrots are evil. :icon_bs:
