I am Carlos, I am 20 years, I weigh 170 pounds, I'm 5"11. Last year I lost 30 pounds however I gained 10 pounds through university and the holidays, from now I plan to go back on a diet and workout where I can attempt to reach my goal of 140 pounds.
My plan is to eat around 1200-1500 calories a day and walk on the treadmill for a total of 3 hrs a day. I also want to weight train.
My diet will consist mainly of fruits and vegetables and chicken Breast.
I plan on cutting out all sugary drinks and replace them with only water.
My biggest problem is my family is heavy snacked so our house is continuously full with snacks and I have a serious problem with avoiding these temptations- any tips on how to avoid these temptations ?
Also, university begins in 2 weeks so I need to find a method of adapting to university and still following my goals.

Welcome to the forum Carlos

Hello Carlos and welcome to the forum. My advice for avoiding snack temptation: eating enough at real meals (1500 kcal/day is very low for a grown man, even one trying to lose weight) and having healthy snacks handy. Fruit, yogurt, a pre-measured amount of nuts, whatever you like really, just be sure to have it easily available so you don´t just sit there watching other people snack.

Hi, Carlos & welcome to the forum. :iagree: with LaMa, 1200-1500 cals per day does not sound like enough. Eating good healthy meals, with sufficient protein to fill you up should leave you less inclined to snack. You're the only one responsible for what you eat. You can do this.

I walked for an hour so far on the treadmill and lift weights for the day
For breakfast I had an apple and I'm about to make lunch !
