Cardio

Hi, I have a question about my health in general. I'm 19 years old, 205 lbs. I've always been on and off with exercising. Generally when i start back up I try and push myself hard to get back into the routine again. Basically I stopped exercising this entire semester of college just because of having a lot of homework and being exhausted from my job (9 P.M. to 5 A.M. every weekend...yes horrible hours).

Now I've always noticed I've had high blood pressure. When I took an EMT class 2 semester ago I realized that I was up in the 140-150/80 or 90 range. I notice more when I try and get back into working out when I've stopped for a while that I'll get slight chest pains when I get my heart rate going. Should I be concerned at all about this or do you think I'm just letting it get to my head? Any and all comments welcomed. Thanks.

Well you need to get your Bp under control firstly. as far as thr chest pains give me some more info and we'll see what we come up with. 1) what underlying medical conditions do you have?? ie asthma etc..
2)do you get the pains only when exercising or when doing any of the more physical activity? What provokes it?
3) does it go away when you stop? HOw long does it last?
4) where exactly is the pain? does it radiate anywhere?
5) How bad is it on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the worse?
6) describe what it feels like
7) any associated symptoms with it -ie short of breath?? and if so what comes first the chest pain or other signs?
8) any allergies?

I know it seems like alot to anser but try to answer as best as you can so I can see the direction you need to go in. so answer away and I'll check back frequently to see your answers or pm me and we'll figure it out.. :)
