Cardio 2 times a day too much?

I was just curious, I'm wanting to get into a routine to ride my bike for 30 mins in the morning before i go to work, and then when i get off work go job/run for a bit. Is this too much in one day? Or would it be alot more beneficial.

not too much, unless your an athlete and in competition

depends. 30 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening doesnt sound bad. hell, you could probably do 30 and 30, or even an hour and an hour. just make sure you eat enough and get a good night sleep. you bike outside?

In general, it doesn't matter that much like WOLVERINE said (all conditional)... BUT, it's all relative to your goals... So what are your goals? What are you trying to achieve by doing cardio twice a day?

Yes I am biking outside. I went out the other afternoon on it and the wind was blowing at like 35mph north, and I was riding south lol. It made it a hard ride. I don't know if your familiar with the area I'm in, but I live in a house around the UD Campus, so biking or running is always quite scenic.

My goal right now is to lose 70 pounds. I weigh in at 270 pounds, and want to get to 200. Despite my size, I am pretty strong and I've heard some people tell me that I should only bike to lose my weight to start off with so there is not any health problems. Not going to happen. I want to lose this weight the healthy way, but I want to do it in a timely fashion. I've been eating pretty healthy if u want to check out my online diary.

I would suggest go easy on the bike part, since running is your most violent and demanding activity of the two, but overall I dont see any problem with that

I wouldnt recommand jogging twice tough.. If you've ever considered that ;)
