Sport Carb Cycling to Get Best of Both Worlds??

Sport Fitness
I read the carb cycling article that is floating about.

Would carb cycling be a good way of trying to burn fat but keep muscle?

For example, i do an uper/lower split, so

Mon - Lower + HIIT
Tues - Upper
Wed - Cardio Only
Thursday - Lower + HIIT
Friday - Upper
Sat - Cardio Only

I want to define my upper and lower but need to lose weight as well.

Using the article as a guideline; i should have 2 post WO carb days and 2 post WO non carbs days, could i have the upper as carb so as to maximise muscle building but keep the lowers carb free to continue the HIIT fat burning?

What would people suggest? Does changing your diet day to day work?

ta!

does anyone do or know much about this?

Carb cycling does give you the best of both worlds IMO...I use it all the time, and especially when dieting for a competition. Here's another article on it, that my coach wrote

thanks v much for that,

i like the idea of it, as sometimes i can be carb craving and other times just not be bothered.

using my plan how would you suggest i adapt my carb intake?

also, i train and eat late at night, are all carbs ok to eat post WO at this time?

thanks
ben

Mon - Lower + HIIT high
Tues - Upper medium
Wed - Cardio Only low
Thursday - Lower + HIIT high
Friday - Upper medium
Sat - Cardio Only low

sunday- low

Yes...even if you're training at night, get your PWO carbs after your training (PWO carbs is NOT fibrous carbs)...think things like malto, rice cakes, white rice, potatoes, oats, etc.
