Weight-Loss Carb Craving

Weight-Loss
I cannot figure this one out. In the past I was never big on carbs, white or otherwise. I didn't like bread, I eat mostly brown rice occassionally and I'll have a potato maybe once a week.

I started running (or trying to) last week and slowly my carb cravings have gone up. Today was the worst day of them all. I also have my period & a slight cold, so I wonder if any or all of these factors are contributing.

For bkfast I had a bowl of wheatena. Then when I got to work I had some fruit. An hour later I was so hungry I ate 1/2 wheat bagel plain. This all ended about 10am. Then at lunch (11:30am) I was craving more carbs and had some more. I don't think I've ever eaten so many carbs in one day in my entire life.

WTH? Is this due to increased activity or is my body just changing?

I don't know the science behind it so all I can say is that when I exercise more, I crave more carbs.

Carbs are the body's primary energy source. So it would make sense that as you ramp up exercise you will crave them more. Good luck on those last 15lbs!
