I currently drive a yellow 2001 Saturn SC2 sporty coupe, and i hate it. i hate the color, i hate the car, but i had no choice in it. It was wrecked, and my dad bought it and fixed it up and saved it for me like 3 years before i turned 16.
Long story short, he's also got this 1986 or 88 Chevy S10, and it needs some work to it. It had a lot of miles on it, and my Dad changed out the engine I think he said for one that only had like 102 thousand on it, but I'll have to wax it several times, and maybe paint on it a little bit. We'll definitely have to paint the rims because they're rusty, but i was only going to pay him maybe 1500-1700 for it, and sell my Saturn.
So far, the S10 doesn't run the best, but it does run, and we recently just got it to where you can take it down the road and it wont cut off. We thought maybe it was the spark plugs were backwards, so he switched those around and its ran some better, but bottom line, it's going to have to have some work done so it'll run better.
Is it worth it?
or should i sell my car, my dirt bike, and my four wheeler, and then go buy a small truck that i'd have to do very little to no work to?
One good thing is, if i sold my car and kept the S10, i'd have a little money left over to put down on college, but for the time being, i don't know how much i could trust it even if we got it fixed up pretty good, although my dad thinks that we can fix it up to run great..
