capsaicin and metabolism?

I've heard that capsaicin (the chemical in peppers that makes them spicy) can boost your metabolism...

Aside from the fact that people generally eat spicy foods much slower, and drink more during the meal (and therefore fill up faster), is there much truth to the argument that eating spicy foods can help your body metabolize fats more easily?

there's a thread here that talks about it a bit, and I just don't have the energy to look for it.. but basically - hot pepper does boost your metabolism, but only for a small amount of time... enjoy the hot stuff if you like it but don't expect it to be a magic bullet.

nevermind - found it
