I'm a fit 20 year old male and a few months ago bought a really cheap cross trainer. No matter what I do on it I can't seem to get a good cardio workout on it. I can do 30 mins (including HITT) and will get off and just feel like I've been for a walk. Even playing with the resistance levels, the higher the level only gives me sore legs, but I really need the cardio side of it more.
Obviously it won't be as good as running, but due to a foot injury I haven't been able to run lately and am thinking of trying a new cross trainer (either that or a bike, but would rather something closer to running) because maybe my one is crap because it's cheap and has a limited range of motion?
Anyway, this is what I'm looking at:
Does that look like a good one?
And this is what I have at the moment:
Does it look like I might be able to get a better workout on the other one or what? Or is there a reason why I can't get a good cardio workout like I do when I go for a run?
Or for the same price I can get one of these Recumbent Bikes, never used one before though
