Can't drink water after exercising...

I can't seem to drink water (or anything for that matter) after exercising. Is that weird? I have to wait at least a half hour after. I seem like I literally can't swallow it, it's very hard for me to swallow it. I don't get it. Anyone else like this???

I'm the same way - I tried taking water with me on my walks but it turned my stomach. I have to wait a bit. Wonder why - it's kinda weird.

If you aren't working up a sweat you aren't getting rid of a lot of water. Hence you won't be that thirsty. Try just sipping water every now and again just to keep yourself hydrated. You don't have to finish an entire bottle, unless of course your body warrents it.

I can drink water, I just cant eat or I will blow chunks! LOL :D
This sounds more like me. I drink LOADS down at the gym (and those of you who saw my "alternative to water" thread will know I dislike plain water a lot) I get through a couple of bottles each workout. I find that my throat is dry and feels funny all the time, and even when I drink the water it still feels a bit funny.

But I can't eat straight after either -I get home from the gym really hungry but when I try to eat I feel awful so I have to wait a while.

Also like Mike says, if you do not get the body going, it wont get thirsty.

The thing is I do work up a sweat, a really good sweat. And my heart rate is up.

And I am thirsty afterwards, I just can't swallow... like i put water in my mouth, and it almost feels like I need to spit it out because its just hard for me to swallow. I dunno, that's the best way I can explain.

Nope, never had that happen before. I'm always really thirsty after I exercise, and I have no problem drinking it, unless I drink way too much.

Drinking water always makes me cool off, no matter how hot it is. I love it.
