Canola oil comes from a hybrid plant developed in Canada during the late 1960s - 1970s using traditional pedigree
hybrid propagation techniques (not genetically modified) involving black mustard, leaf mustard, and turnip rapeseed.
Many people argue its actual health benefits based upon it's 'manufactured nature. Just because it isn't saturated doesn't mean it's all that good for you.
It is marketed as though it is the next best thing when compared with olive oil etc.. I would consider sticking with more natural less processed oils, unless it's UDO's oil which is a collection of col pressed oils and will satisfy all of your EFA needs.
