Sport Canned Fruits...Friend or Foe

Fresh is best, frozen is next, canned is great and better than nothing at all :D
 
Indeed, and also make sure though if you get canned that its just fruit, and not fruit with massive syrup in there.
 
Makes sense Lynn, I just hate throwing food away! I like my fruits fresh...

I know what you mean theleip, I hate all the syrup. Normally I just get pineapple and pears...
 
yup, fruit in it's own juice, not with syrup. i hate the fact that they add sugar, it's friggin fruit, it's already sweet. sheesh :rolleyes:

the only fruit in a can that i found to be just fruit and in it's own juice without the added sugar/syrup was pinapple, so i usually get that to add into my cottage cheese snack and then my other fruits i usually buy fresh such as apples and oranges.
 
that's funny Lillian, that's what I do with my pineapple, add it to my cottage cheese. I'ave also added dried cherries or cranberries-YUM
